five friday finds: uncanny music, hustle culture, new wood

do you even hustle bruh?

Hello folks

Seems like everything is burning. UNICEF needs you more than ever. Here are the finds that kept me company this week:

  1. UNCANNY MUSIC What happens when you take the words from reviews of music albums, and then feed them to an AI that turns words into music.
  2. HUSTLE CULTURE Tackling caffeine addiction, using Tiger Balm to stay awake and tears as hydration, Hustle Secrets uses humor to point out the absurdity of the cultural phenomenon.
  3. WOOD > STEEL New material from Japan promises to help decarbonize manufacturing. This could be huge!
  4. ADS TO RICHES The first company to sign up for Google Ads was a lobster delivery company started from scratch by Dan Zawacki in Chicago with only $1,000 in 1989. The company now makes around $6 million in revenue with 26 employees.
  5.  PLAY IT SAFE Loved this: A music video, with extensive choreography, about taking artistic risks, and about the history of the Sydney Opera House.

I'm quite psyched about an urban sketching art class this weekend. Will tell y'all how it went.
